Bestiality is an abuse practiced by a growing cult- like group of deviants and impressionable teens, as well as curious experimenters.

Bestiality is not illegal in 20 states! and in these 20 states- bestiality is not even written into animal abuse laws as an animal abuse issue! Bestiality is illegal in Canada, the UK (life in prison), New Zealand and many many other countries.(1)

A perusal of the internet search engines (2) will find many of the zoophile's growing, graphic and very vocal web sites- web sites which are promoting sex with animals as a legitimate sexual orientation, recruitment of curious swingers, unstable lonely teens and deviants.

Recently, (spring/summer 1998) three zoophile cult members appeared on an episode of the Jerry Springer show to promote bestiality. Two men with a mare and dog, and a woman with a dog Two of the show's guests abuse mares and dogs in Carl Jct. Missouri, while boasting that there are no laws that can touch them. One authored a small autobiography that describes acts I can't repeat here, but the book sales failed miserably.

They are so "out of the closet" they publish their names, address and phone number for an underground "zoophile outreach" to find other perverts who don't have internet access learn how to accept themselves, and learn new techniques from the "how-to" files. The Zoophile Outreach Organization, or ZOO, was founded in January of 1992 by George W. of Carl Jct. MO.

Even the local law enforcement officials know of them and are powerless to do anything about this abuse. If they lived just five miles to the west, in the next state, they would be arrested and charged with; aggravated criminal sodomy, security level 2, felony K.S.A. @2103506 (1993)

Fortunately, due to negative publicity complaints by CT. State Senator Bill Lieberman and scores of the outraged, this show was yanked before it could air in more than a handfull of cities. The producers intended to forward mail from viewers to the guests. No doubt this cult would have found additional recruits and supporters by this free national TV media attention. Members of this cult have phoned radio talk shows as well, such as psychiatry talk, dating and sex help shows trying to promote bestiality and zoophiles as; "deep love and just misunderstood animal lovers"

The zoophile's web sites contain everything from detailed "how-to" files, to links to a published book, pornography and "erotica", essays, writings, personal contact ads for trading animals for sex, and also serve as meeting places.

One site with nearly 2,000 personal contact ads, based in the Bay area of California has an ad from a 16 year old child asking about relations with animals, it has been up there since 11/97 and was still there as of 8/12/98 this is illegal and the law enforcement were contacted about this.

This type of site encourages children and teens to experiment as this ad below located at Calzoo's web site in the Maryland state folder.

As an update, 8/21 we noticed the site owner has altered the ad below due to our posting- to NOW read; teenage" in place of "16 yo", but we have a screen shot of the ad as it originally appeared for almost a year - in jpg format, with the author's email address blocked out by us.

Below is the ad as it appears now, it is still there, and the site owners know this was placed by a 16 year old minor. Altering his age in the ad text doesn't alter the fact that they are willingly promoting bestiality as a lifestyle to children and allow them to participate in their forums!

The zoophiles have also taken over numerous channels on IRC, chats on ICQ, and private telnet chats. All of these are devoted to slowly spreading their agenda of breaking zoophilia/bestiality into the public's acceptance, recruiting additional devotees, and trying to eliminate the current laws in the 30 states that currently have laws.

The Guide, a gay men's travel magazine featured an in-detail story on bestiality on the internet, in their March 1996 issue. This article is available on their web site (4)
The magazine interviewed a number of zoophiles. Mentioned, was one who got the idea to try bestiality as a teen after hearing about it on a TV talk show , he was one who had no friends so he related to a dog, and so on.

Another mentions parental neglect and abuse.

on the words; zoophile and bestiality pulls up at least 137,310 documents containing bestiality which of course includes commercial pornography pages, and 857 for zoophile- which is what most of the animal sex pages are indexed under. A search for pedophile brings up 68,600 documents, which of course includes the anti pedophilia/porn web sites to give you an idea of the magnitude.

There are background commonalities between zoophiles and pedophiles, mentioned repeatedly on zoophile web sites and their writings, are adolescent instances of parental abuse- both physical and sexual, as well as neglect, loneliness, lack of self esteem, anti-social behavior, a dislike of society, dating fallouts with the opposite sex, and divorces. Many started acting out this sexual abuse at a young age- usually around puberty, and often with a female dog.

There is another reference journal which includes the statements about pedophiles and zoophiles having verysimilar backgrounds (11) The author suggests the terminology regarding bestiality and zoophilia be changed to; "inter-species sexual assault"

I feel this is to a degree, a precursor to a larger problem of rape, either yet to be ignited by rape of female animals, or an unacted upon desire to rape human females.

Reading the writings of zoophiles, their essays and consent statements, one can't help notice the parallels of similar writings and justifications by pedophiles! One zoophile claimed in a response to our postings, that animals (dogs); "are adults at age 2, therefore they can consent to sex with humans"!

WHAT DO ZOOPHILES DO EXACTLY?

Zoophiles abuse helpless victims who can't say no. Their victims of choice are mainly dogs, but also horses (especially miniatures) and other small animals. It matters not if the animal is spayed/neutered/gelded or is intact, but in the case of male animals- they prefer them intact as they are more capable of "performing", usually with a male zoophile in acts that only be described as homosexual in nature. The abuse is practiced by both men and women, although more commonly- it is young men who are involved.

It only appears as though women practice this more, this is due to the proliferation of pornography which is usually produced, distributed and sought by men. Some zoophiles started their own registered internet domains in order to allow other zoophiles to have unlimited web pages, FTP as well as anonymous accounts (5) one has five registered domain names in Warren Pennsylvania;

A few recent cases appeared in the news, included bestiality;

Barry Herbeck, who raped, tortured and killed dogs and cats.

Paul Milhouse, was arrested in El Cajon California for stealing a horse and abusing it sexually- his second time arrested for this offense, he was video taped in the act after he cut fences and trespassed repeatedly to abuse stallions owned by neighbors and a minimal law.(5)

Brian Lyle Courtier, was arrested in Victorville California for a June 24 1998 theft and attack on a horse- he was previously convicted a few months earlier for another attack on a horse. San Bernardino Sheriff spokeswoman Cindy Beaver was quoted by the reporters. Courtier faces a misdemeanor charge of sexual assault on a horse- as bestiality is illegal in California.(6)

Enumclaw WA. in King county had a zoophile case in June 1996 at 3:00 A.M. whereby a 29 year old man trespassed repeatedly to abuse pygmy goats belonging to neighbors. This was despite the owners having an anti-harassment court order against him for two prior attacks on their animals! He was caught and arrested again- after the goat owner shot him in the knees- an untreatable repeat offender (6)

Sterling Rachwal, 32, Waupaca County WI., charged with cruelty to animals, burglary and bail jumping after his attack on a pregnant mare who suffered severe penetration injuries to the anal and vaginal areas. A three time prior offender on at least three other horses who were euthanized due to the extent of their injuries. His abuse history goes back to 1982 (6)

Juan J Alonzo, has been sentenced to one year in prison after pleading no contest to charges of animal cruelty in an incident where witnesses reported that Alonzo was having anal relations with a 50 pound black dog on Feb. 2, 1998. Alonzo was found pulling up his pants and was with the dog when law enforcement officials arrived at the scene. In addition to the sentence, Alonzo may face deportation to his native Mexico.

New Zealand, 9/98 Quote from reader: "As it happens, there recently was a case (here) in New Zealand that went to court in which a guy was found guilty of gross indecency with (if I recall correctly) a goat (though it may have been a donkey)."

WHAT DOES THIS ABUSE HAVE THE POTENTIAL TO DO TO THE ANIMALS INVOLVED?

Zoophiles usually keep un-neutered intact animals. Intact animals carry a much greater risk for prostate, testicular, mammary gland cancers, pyometra and uterine infections, as well as other medical problems. This is a fact that has been cited in numerous veterinary studies!

These zoophiles prefer their victims un-neutered, which can thus perform as they want- and as such they willingly risk their animal's lives and health for their own personal gain. This is a very abusive thing that suits their own end- living sex toys.

Intact animals will also tend to roam, fight (with resultant injuries) and males are aggressive towards other males. In addition, to those who have dogs- these zoophiles willingly breed mixed breeds of any age not only to provide additional victims to sell others.. but they claim they encourage their dogs to freely inter-breed so they have 'fun'.

Some of the medical problems in animals thus abused, includes, but is not limited to the following, some is applicable to small animals only, while the rest is applicable to all female animals;

Vaginitis, either from bacteria that do not belong there, an allergic reaction to human bodily fluids, tearing, or irritation from repeated frequent contact.

Urinary tract infections ascending vaginal infections which affect the bladder Ascending vaginal infections resulting in a life threatening medical emergency known as; pyometra.

Spread of brucellosis from one infected animal to another through sharing or successive contacts with the human acting as the carrier between them.

Marked dramatic increase in the risk for the animal to develop mammary cancers, ovarian cancers, ovarian cysts, accidental pregnancy, pyometra.

Animals were designed by nature to have specific limited duration breeding cycles with their own kind. Since most of these philes molest dogs, I will go into detail into that species, although much applies to all mammals to various degrees. The females come into breeding estrus twice per year, the rest of the time the female in a period of diestrus for repair and rest. Females are only drawn to the males for breeding, and can actively breed during a limited time of each of these cycles.

Along comes a zoophile who now through coercion, bribery, threats, or dominance penetrates the female in her out of breeding cycles, and forces this repeatedly- perhaps on a daily long term basis! Would you be surprised to know that a female dog spayed before her first breeding cycle has virtually a zero percent chance of contracting pyometra, uterine infections ovarian cancers, ovarian cysts, and mammary gland cancers? Did you know one of the leading causes of death in this species is cancer, especially mammary gland cancer?

Another new thing I have heard of, is zoophiles attempting to find veterinarians who will perform tubal ligations instead of a full ovarian- hysterectomy. Veterinarians who have a client wanting a tubal ligation or vasectomy and who refuses to consider a full spay, neuter while offering some oddball excuse- may in fact be sexually abusing the animal.

Like pedophiles, zoophiles tend to seek careers and jobs that puts them in direct control of, or contact with their victims. Thus, one will find them working with animals as veterinary assistants, boarding facility workers or owners, (of which we know of at least two zoophile owners, and a few others who expressed the desire to own such a facility) trainers, breeders etc.

ARE THESE PEOPLE DANGEROUS SOCIAL MISFITS? WHO ARE THEY?

We believe they are, any one of these zoophiles and zoophile curious- who is willing to sexually abuse animals under the guise of "love," and dislikes humans and society (anti social) should be considered to have to potential for harassment up to and including violence.

We personally have been harassed, received death threats via email, email bombs, had mass bogus complaints sent to our internet provider trying to shut our web sites down, and even been threatened with a bogus lawsuit for slander by stating the facts about a registered zoophile domain that advertised pornography on CD's for sale to finance their connections. We also had our internet account hacked into (illegal and fraudulent computer access)

A radio psychiatrist/professor and talk show host who was against zoophiles and the zoophile caller on the air- had her 1-800 number, and email address posted in the animal perversion forums so zoophiles could phone bomb and email bomb harass her.

One zoophile; Harry Shapiro, who went by the handle "furplay" on the zoophile forums- was arrested and sentenced to ten years for planting a fake bomb in a Jacksonville Florida Synagogue as a political protest threat against Shimon Peres (7)
notice of his arrest was posted in one of the zoophile's private chat forum bulletin boards.

If a zoophile sends you email or tries to contact you, ignore them and do not reply or respond. If you do reply, you can be sure you will be engaged in numerous further contacts and likely all of your responses will be read by others in their forums. If you respond negatively, you may find your mail box stuffed full of junk mail and bogus mailing list subscriptions they forged your account to.

WHAT CAN I DO ABOUT THIS TO HELP ANIMALS?

We're glad you "asked" that question! Help us educate and spread the information, help promote action towards legislative efforts to see that laws against bestiality are enacted in each of the 20 states that have no laws, even if it's only a fine we can go after them for each and every occurrence! This can be added to anti pedophile and pornography bills, or animal abuse bills- even bills addressing any sexual issue.

Help shut down zoophile's pornographic web sites, send complaints to their hosts- usually abuse@ or postmaster@ their domain, include the web page URL and complaint over content. We and an equine rescue group (9) have gone a long way on this.

And last but not least, a few selected URLS of the zoophile's web sites (10) so that you can see the sickness, magnitude, their plans, and just how extensive this abuse has become. The reader is cautioned that not only do these sites contain detailed files on sex with animals which leave virtually nothing to your imagination- but some contain "erotic" photos of, or links to- photos of erect stallions, dogs, and mare's external genitalia.

One site we helped close down contained several dozen closeup photos of mare's vulva's and their faces, taken by the zoophile author who stated he worked at boarding stables. He boasted about the number of mares he "bagged", and that his favorite couldn't be shown out of fear that the owner (who is on-line)- would recognize her mare's face!

The 'Animals Agenda', Volume 15, Number 6, 29-31 Bestiality: The Unmentioned Abuse;

..In the second kind, an animal becomes the exclusive focus of a human's desires. Although many medical terms have been applied to a fixation on gratification with animals, those who engage in this prefer to be known as zoophiles..." ...The zoophile's worldview is similar to the rapist's and child sexual abuser's. They all view the physical gratifications they have with their victims as consensual, and they believe it benefits their partners as well as themselves. Just as pedophiles differentiate between those who abuse children and those who love children-placing themselves, of course, in the latter group-zoophiles distinguish between animal abusers (bestialists) and those who are zoophiles are just self- justifications.
